Diego Botin-Sanz de Sautuola Le Chever is a Spanish sailor in the 49er sailing class, as well as a pilot for the Spanish SailGP team. In 2023, he achieved the first victory for the Spain SailGP Team in the competition at the Los Angeles Grand Prix. He represented Spain in the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, finishing ninth and fourth respectively in his category.

He has been the European champion in 2016, 2018, and 2022. Additionally, he has four medals in the 49er World Championships, between 2020 and 2024. His career stands out for its consistency and performance, making him one of the most prominent figures in international sailing.

At the age of 7, Botin joined the Specialized Center of High Performance (CEAR), where he discovered his passion for sailing and its competitive nature. Born on December 25, 1993, he left Business Administration for boat design, hydrodynamics, and meteorology. Additionally, he is an enthusiast of surfing.
