por Emma Harrison

If you’re looking for the best Fed rate prediction market sites, there are a number that potentially fit the bill, but three that we especially like are Kalshi, Polymarket and Crypto.com. Each has strengths that are valuable for traders.

In this article, we’ve taken a closer look at all three – plus digging a bit deeper into exactly what prediction market sites are and why you may want to use them to trade contracts on Fed rates. They’re certainly proving to be popular platforms at the moment, but as with any trading site, it’s important to know the risks upfront.

Our Top-Rated Prediction Market Sites in 2026

How Fed rate prediction markets work

Regardless of whether you’re talking about the best Fed rate prediction market sites, the best sports prediction market sites or the best US debt default prediction market sites, they all work in the same way.

Each market has two possible outcomes: Yes or No. An example would be something like:

Will there be a Fed rate cut in 2026?

The numbers are the market prices, and they represent the probability of the event occurring according to the market makers.

If you want to take a price, you purchase contracts, which cost the same as the amount displayed, but in cents. So, predicting ‘Yes’ in this market would cost 97 cents per contract and predicting ‘No’ would cost 4 cents per contract.

Winning contracts always settle at $1 each, and losing contracts always settle at $0.

This means that when trading prediction markets, you are trying to find prices which you believe over- or underestimate the chance of an event occurring. If you thought that there was actually a 10% chance of a Fed rate cut in 2026, then you might want to trade ‘Yes’, for example.

The types of Fed rate markets available

Each of the prediction market platforms reviewed in this article has its own selection of economics prediction markets, but some of the most common ones related specifically to Fed rates include:

No market type is inherently better or worse to trade on, but it is worth paying close attention to market liquidity, as low-liquidity prediction markets often have distorted prices that are poor value. This is because prediction market platforms are exchanges, which means that other traders are offering prices rather than the platform (Kalshi, Polymarket, etc).

Three of the best Fed rate prediction market sites

As promised in the intro, we’ve provided reviews of three of the best Fed rate prediction market sites today.

These three platforms are actually really good all-rounders too, which means you could just as easily label them as three of the best inflation market sites, and that’s great news for traders.

Here’s a quick summary of the trio, before we get stuck into the detail.

Prediction Market SiteWelcome OfferTrading Fees
KalshiCapped at $0.02 per contract, lower for market makers
PolymarketMarket takers only, up to 7%
Crypto.com$0.07 per contract for market takers, $0.0175 per contract for market makers

Kalshi: The best welcome bonus (and much more besides)

Kalshi: Pros & Cons
  • Broad range of markets
  • Asistencia por chat en directo 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana
  • Huge reputation
  • Native mobile app
  • Transaction fees

Kalshi is one of the ‘big two’ original prediction market platforms, alongside Polymarket, so it has lots to offer, including being one of the best IPO prediction market sites.

The main strengths that stand out include its excellent liquidity levels, with more than $2.5million traded on the Fed’s December decision at the time of writing, and its generous welcome bonus.

The ‘trade $25 get $55’ promotion means that new users have a great opportunity to try out the platform using some bonus funds in addition to their own. If you give this brand a try, you’ll also find very reasonable fees, which are capped at $0.02 per contract, and highly rated apps for both iOS and Android.

In short, Kalshi is one of the biggest and best prediction market sites out there, and we would heartily recommend it to anybody interested in trading Fed rates.

Polymarket: The best for market makers

Polymarket: Pros and Cons
  • Numerous markets on sports, crypto, the economy, and politics
  • Regulated by the CFTC
  • Multiple rewards for existing traders
  • Crypto payments only

Traders at prediction market sites are split into two camps – market makers, who offer prices, and market takers, who take pre-existing prices. Both are perfectly valid options when trading Fed rates, but if you lean towards market making, Polymarket become a fantastic option thanks to its fee-free setup.

Like Kalshi, Polymarket is an extremely popular platform, which means it has good liquidity and a great selection of markets across a whole array of categories, including but certainly not limited to Fed rate prediction markets. Indeed, for those traders wishing to branch out, it can also easily be counted as one of the best gold prediction market sites.

They have a ‘deposit $10, get $25 trading bonus’ welcome offer, which is a great start for new players. To get started, all you have to do is download the Polymarket US app, verify your account, and make a deposit. Just note that traders from Nevada cannot access the app at the time of writing.

Crypto.com: The new kid on the block

Crypto.com: Pros and Cons
  • Bonificación de bienvenida
  • Broad range of markets
  • High-performance mobile app
  • Strict ID verification

Crypto.com is better known for its cryptocurrency exchange, which has existed for around a decade, but it became a fascinating new arrival in the prediction markets space in 2024.

Having started with just sports contracts, Crypto.com now has a great selection of different market categories, including fed rate prediction markets, culture prediction markets and US midterm prediction markets.

Their liquidity isn’t quite as good as the likes of Kalshi and Polymarket just yet (that December decision market we mentioned earlier only has $40,000 liquidity on Crypto.com), but the prices on all the main markets are still competitive.

We couldn’t find a welcome offer specifically for the Crypto.com predictions platform when we checked, but there’s still lots to like about this brand, including low market maker fees, and we would expect them to continue to improve as they grow.

Sponsored by Crypto.com – Not investment advice. Trading prediction markets and crypto involves risk, including potential loss of your stake. Consider your risk tolerance before participating. Crypto.com connects U.S. users to CDNA (regulated by CFTC) for derivatives trading. CDNA membership required. Trading may not be suitable for all—you could lose your entire investment plus fees. Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results. This is not a solicitation or recommendation to trade.

Best Fed rate prediction market sites: Pros and cons

Ventajas e inconvenientes
  • Strong liquidity in Fed Rate markets
  • Competition among sites means better prices
  • Low trading fees, especially for market makers
  • No welcome bonus at Crypto.com

There’s plenty of liquidity at the best Fed rate prediction sites

Liquidity is king when it comes to prediction markets, so it’s great to see that Kalshi, Polymarket and, to a slightly lesser extent, Crypto.com all have strong liquidity in their Fed rate markets.

As a result of this – plus the competition between the prediction market sites – prices are competitive on a range of markets, including whether the Fed rate will go up or down, and the Fed decisions in any given month.

We were most impressed by Kalshi, which had more than $2.5 million liquidity in their December market at the time this article was written, but there’s also plenty to like about Polymarket and Crypto.com.

All three operators have great all-round offerings for Fed rate traders, as well as prediction market traders generally, and we found the trading fees to be very fair, with an especially good fee-free arrangement for market makers at Polymarket.
