The Hundred Free Bets for Thursday’s Double-Header on 30-07-2026

July 28, 2026
por Emma Harrison
The Hundred is beginning to get into full swing after some early excitement, and this Thursday’s double-header will be of interest to cricket fans looking out for free bets. Southampton is the venue for the evening’s action.

Home side Southern Brave will face Birmingham Phoenix with the women’s match beginning at 3 pm and the men’s game to follow at 6:30 pm. History and home advantage give Southern Brave the edge here, but it is the Hundred and things can change both quickly and repeatedly across the course of a match, so let’s look at some details.

Mixed fortunes for men’s and women’s sides

Brave’s women have flown out of the blocks in the Hundred, winning both their opening games and climbing to the top of the table, and very much leaving the men’s team in the shade. The good news for the men is that their past record against Birmingham gives plenty of reason for optimism, with five wins from six meetings. The news will get worse for Brave if they have to bat second; on all three occasions they’ve chased against this opposition, they have fallen short. On the women’s side, there’s reason to be more circumspect at UK betting sites; again, Phoenix only have one win, but it’s from just three matches and Phoenix women have more runs on average from meetings between the teams. Last time out, Brave Women ran up 139 runs before holding Phoenix to 124 in the chase.

It’s common to see UK sportsbooks cross the Atlantic to meet the newer and growing market there. It’s rarer to see a US name do the same in reverse, but BetMGM

Isn’t just any US book, it’s probably the most noted name in sports betting in the US. They are certainly helping themselves by offering a promo which rewards your £10 qualifying bet with two £10 free bets and two £10 bet builders; £40 you can use to make bets on the Hundred or elsewhere. As with the other promos here, you will need to use your BetMGM free bets within seven days of receipt, but there’s a large enough sportsbook to make that pretty simple.
