Best Betting Offers for Liverpool v Nottingham Forest on August 29th

August 26, 2026
por Emma Harrison
Two sides looking for improvement meet at Anfield this weekend as Liverpool look to pick up a win against a Nottingham Forest side managed by Oliver Glasner. It’s also a chance to test out some of the UK’s best betting offers.

Liverpool opened the season in indifferent form as they required a late penalty to secure a point on their travels at Newcastle. Visitors Forest will be keen to bounce back from a 1-0 home loss against Leeds, but will absolutely settle for a draw if they can get it at one of the hardest away grounds in the Premier League.

Iraola looks for improvement from Reds

Liverpool’s 2025/26 season was a marked drop-off from their title-winning glory of the previous campaign, and resulted in the sacking of Arne Slot. His replacement, Andoni Iraola, is now tasked with returning them to the title race. On the evidence of their visit to Newcastle, he’s got a job on his hands: Liverpool twice fell behind and could have been out of the game before a late Dominik Szoboszlai penalty rescued a point. For Forest, the alarm bells are a little louder. They sacked three different managers last season and, although Glasner is deemed to have been a smart appointment, losing 1-0 at home to Leeds was not the start he would have wanted. UK betting sites have him as one of the favourites to be sacked first among Premier League managers, although a defeat here probably wouldn’t seal his fate given the opposition.
